Human Strategy vs Divine Plans

"Now when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and all the Canaanite kings along the coast heard how the LORD had dried up the Jordan before the Israelites until we had crossed over, their hearts melted and they no longer had the courage to face the Israelites. " Joshua 5:1

This could have been the best time to attack! Their enemies have already been defeated because of their fear. But, - no orders have been given by the Divine Commander to go and attack, instead, the order was to circumcise all the men which would make them vulnerable to their enemies. With circumcision, the men won't even be able to defend their self.

But God's timing is perfect. God requires full trust and complete obedience to Him. It does not matter what we think would happen, God is God, He is Big and He is Great, He is Sovereign.
