1. God providentially overrules human folly and brings His will to pass in spite of it.
"But Samson said to his father, "Get her for me. She's the right one for me." (His parents did not know that this was from the LORD, who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines; for at that time they were ruling over Israel.)" Judges 14:3-4
2. Although Samson's life is going downhill, Yahweh's agenda is being achieved.
- Samson did God's will but for the wrong reason -
"Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon him in power. He went down to Ashkelon, struck down thirty of their men, stripped them of their belongings and gave their clothes to those who had explained the riddle. Burning with anger, he went up to his father's house. And Samson's wife was given to the friend who had attended him at his wedding." Judges 14:19-20
4. Self-discipline is essentially a matter of submission to God's authority, not a matter of self-denial.
Samson was born a Nazirite, God has given him special conditions(not to touch dead bodies, no cutting of hair, no wine) on how to live his life. BUT;
Samson touched a lion's carcass.
Samson wanted to marry a Philistine woman in Timnah.
And then later on Samson hinted Delilah to have his hair cut off so he could lose his power.

On the outside, I'm on the flabby side. I wonder how toned my inner man is?
Nazerite, boy he probably was the first hippie
