CATASTROPHE

When I first read Judges chapter 19, I was shocked on how the story went. I even thought I'd check if I was still reading a bible because the story was like a horrific modern day news we hear on television or read on newspaper.

It was so hard for me to believe that that story really happened, and of all people ...to a believer, a direct offspring of Moses.

After reading it, I shared the story to my husband as if it just happened, like hot news.

It was hard for me to really grasp what God wants us (christians) to learn in this specific story in the bible. I pray that God would bring forth wisdom and deep spiritual insight on how He works, as reflected in this story.

In the end...
I believe His grace shines all the more... even in catastrophe.

Dr. Constable's notes on the book of Judges might shed some light into this. It helped me. (Soniclight.com)
