I am thankful.
For a long time now since I became a Christian, there has been some questions in my mind looking for answers. The problem is I am not courageous enough to seek for the answers, I thought my questions were not valid (Now, why did I ever thought that questions needs validity). By God's grace, God has showered me the answers through a 15-week class called "Perspectives: On The World Christian Movement".
Truly, it is nothing short of PHENOMENAL.
The first precious truth that I found is...The purpose for Mission is for GOD to receive the MAXIMUM GLORY from all the peoples of the earth.
I've always kind of struggle when I ask the question "If you die tonight, do you know for sure that you are going to heaven?". And no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that prerogative in sharing the gospel. But I feel kind of a disconnect into something that I don't really know, all I know at the time is that going to heaven is not what I wanted to be the primary purpose for reaching the lost, there should be more than just crossing to the other side.
Now I found this truth, a truth that I instantly treasured in my heart.
The next time I share the gospel to the lost, I am not doing it solely so that the lost can get their "fire insurance", that they could skip the fires of hell. BUT primarily because... I want to join... the Church Movement. Being a part of this great grand plan of God to bless all the nations... so that in return God will get the maximum glory from all the nations.
Christ is the crescendo of the story of God's glory.
He will have bought and brought people from every tribe and tongue to honor the Father.
[Steven C. Hawthorne]
God reveals His glory to all nations...in order to receive glory from all creation.
PSALM 96 verses 2-3, 7-9
---"Proclaim good tidings of His salvation
from day to day
Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
----Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Give to the LORD glory and strength
Give to the LORD the glory of His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;
Tremble before Him, all the earth."

Christ is the crescendo of the story of God's glory. (I like that. Thanks for reminding me the bigger story, Tina.)
