Failure Through Compromise

The Israelites went through the cycle of;
-Apostasy
-Oppression
-Repentance
-Deliverance
-Renewal

There is something about being continually renewed by God that keeps us from falling into sin. Once we get comfortable with our current spiritual life we tend to be mediocre. We are prone to compromise when we do not keep watch of our ways. Our compromise turns to personal failure and our personal failure in one way or another hurts the whole body of Christ. In the book of Judges one man's failure gave way for the whole nation to fall.

With this in mind, our personal life is important, because it doesn't only involve ourselves, but it also involves others.

For the glory of God, we live our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to the Lord.

"As bread that is broken use our lives,
As wine that is poured out a living sacrifice."
