In light of the message about 3 weeks ago. My daughters and I were having a nice conversation about worship time at church.
Mama says, "Do we play when it is time to worship?". Daughters says, "Nooo".
Mama says, "Do we eat Animal Crackers when it's worship time?". Daughters says, "Nooo".
Mama says, "Do we talk with our friends when it's time for worship?". Daughters says, "Nooo".
Mama says, "What do we tell our friends when they talk to us when it's worship time?".
Eldest Daughter says, "I will tell Anna (her imaginary friend) to not talk to my sister because it is time for worship time".
Mama ends the conversation with, "Yes, because when it's time for worship, we respect God's presence."
And then she added on. She says, "Mommy, you forgot something."
She continued on, "Do we fight when it's worship time?", "Nooo".
(that's because she fights with her little sister... a lot)
That was how our conversation ended.
It was just amazing witness a 4 year old respond like that (knowing that it's even hard for me to make her understand not to write on the couch).
She got the message. She might still do it at times but the message is instilled in her heart.
"We are to respect God's presence during worship time."
